Sunny Day at the Farm
Sunny Day at the Farm

We have friends who host an annual music festival on their family’s farmland each summer. Though it’s been happening for years, I only started attending in 2003 when my husband and I were first dating. Through the years many of us have had kids and watched them grow up. Some people are no longer with us. Despite the changing faces through the years, it feels like it’s a space that stands still in time. The barn and the little outhouse. The solitude and quiet one experiences out in the country. I’m grateful for many sunny days at the farm (and at least one where our camper nearly blew away in a sudden storm, but that’s for another painting…)
