The last few days in Minnesota have been warm enough to melt most of the snow we've had since November. It's always the cruelest time of year when seed catalogs start piling up on the dining room table and spring feels as though it's sprung. I noticed this morning the first flash of green as my Columbine was peeking through the fallen leaves.

Fast forward a couple of hours and all hope of spring has vanished under a wet layer of freshly fallen snow.

Garden dreams will have to do for now.
